VitalBase ® with apple pectin – for a healthy acid-base balance

Base minerals and trace elements on a citrate basis (dietary fibre food supplement – suitable for vegans)

VitalBase ® with apple pectin has been developed into a food supplement by nutrition specialists in order to help the body maintain a metabolic balance, particularly the acid-base balance. Additional bio-available buffering can thus be provided to neutralise acids.

Special features of the formulation are:

•    Balance and high concentration of minerals (approx. 60%)
•    Basis on gastric juice-neutral citrate salts (instead of carbonates)
•    Bowel-friendly dietary fibre apple pectin and inulin as carrier substances (instead of lactose, etc.)

Unlike many other base mixes, VitalBase ® with apple pectin expressly avoids the use of sweeteners and fillers such as sugar (e.g. lactose, saccharose, dextrose) or sugar substitutes (e.g. aspartame). We also avoid salts based on carbonates (including hydrogen carbonate), as these start working in the stomach and can therefore impair digestion, above all in elderly people.

Bowel care with fibre source substance

Apple pectins are what are known as bioactive substances and begin their purifying work in the bowel by supporting the body in its daily detoxification.

Inulin, a probiotic fibre, feeds the health-boosting microorganisms in the large intestine and can thus encourage a favourable bowel environment and consequently strengthen immune defences. Experts believe that we consume only 10% of the average amount eaten by an agricultural population just 100 years ago.

Gastric juice-neutral citrate bases

VitalBase ® with apple pectin is easy to assimilate. Minerals such as potassium, calcium, magnesium and sodium, which are essential for acid balance, are present in a balanced amount and in a biologically beneficial citrate form. This guarantees that it will be absorbed well, as there is no unwanted interplay with our acidic gastric digestion.

VitalBase ® with apple pectin also contains the trace elements that are important for basic human health such as zinc, copper, manganese, molybdenum, chromate and selenium. It also contains silica from siliceous earth, which strengthens skin, hair and nails and can fortify the connective tissue.

Recommended intake

• • Add 1.5 heaped teaspoons (2 x approx. 7.5g = 15g) 1 or 2 times a day to juice, cold water, milk, yoghurt, muesli or fruit, or mix into food.
  • Consume an additional 1.5 teaspoons before physical or sporting activity.
  • For deacidification and excretory cures double the amount.

There are no restrictions or incompatibilities known.
